Chris was born in 1974 in Princeton, WV. Raised in Giles County, Virginia in a union strong family. His Great Granddad was UMWA, his granddad was Bricklayers Allied Craftworkers and his father, Wayne has belonged to UNITE, IAM, Teamsters and IBEW.

Chris lived in Florida for 9 years until moving back home in 1998. He took job at Volvo Trucks in Dublin in 1999. He has been a strong and active union member since starting his job there.

He serves as CAP co-chair, Union Labels chair and served on the UAW Local 2069 Executive Board as Guide. Chris has served as a Trustee for the Western VA Labor Federation. He is a repairman in the Volvo PC Department. He has also served as vice chair of the Giles County Democratic Committee.

Chris has built banjos from 2001-2010 in his wood shop. He also started a BBQ business in 2010 and still occasionally caters. He also has coached youth football and played 5 years in a minor football league.

His interests include farming, cooking, and playing mountairn music. Chris enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Consuella Hoston, along with his sons Austin and Christopher.
